Landmark Builders recently began construction of a 5-story, 130,000-square-foot resort located at the corner of East Bay and Calhoun Streets in Charleston, South Carolina.
Known as Liberty Place by Hilton Club, this project is Hilton Grand Vacations’ first property in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Liberty Place sits near the approximate location of the Liberty Tree where the Declaration of Independence was first read to Charleston’s citizens. The project includes preserving and incorporating into the work existing carriage house brick walls (circa early 1800’s) and also restoring a historic house located on the property.
The resort will feature 98 units and on-site amenities will include a lobby bar, deli, owners’ lounge/terrace, fitness center and large courtyard area with a centerpiece fountain. Liberty Place is slated to open in late 2020. Landmark’s design partner on the project is Garvin Design Group and this is Landmark’s 12th major resort project with our client, Strand Capital Group.
