On Friday, April 27, Landmark celebrated the topping out of the Ocean 16 Tower in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The 26-story resort is Landmark’s third oceanfront project for Hilton Grand Vacations and the eleventh with the developer, Strand Capital Group.
Landmark Builders began construction on the 330 unit tower in March 2017 and is expected to be complete in March 2019. The resort has several amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, spas, a pool bar, lounge, deli/restaurant, fitness and activities centers and seven high speed elevators with destination management system technology. The project was designed by Columbia-based architecture firm Garvin Design Group in association with tag architecture, LLC.
Also included in the project is a 10,000 square foot, 2-story sales center, a 172,000 square foot, 5-story cast-in-place parking deck, streetscape improvements of a 3-block surrounding area, extension of the city’s boardwalk and construction of two city parks.
